SIX STEP: After establishing an uprock, practice different ways of getting down to the floor. Once your on the floor,  the first breakdancing step you need to learn is the six step. There are an infinite number of variations to this move, but i think this is the easiest way to learn it:

Start out in a spread eagle push-up position

NNext, replace your right lhand with your left foot. (if your more comfortable rotating the other way, do everything opposite)
Now bring your right ankle/shin up into the back of your left knee.
Next, uncross your legs by moving your left foot to the right.
The next step is the most complex. Kick your right leg in a wide circle until your right knee bends around your left ankle. At the same time twist your upperbody to the right, replacing where your right foot was at the end of step 4 with your left hand.
Finally, keep your hands planted and uncross your legs (one at a time or in one jumping motion) behind you into the original spread eagle pushup position.

It is essential that you master the six step. You should try to have most of your moves come out of and end up in the six step. Practice it everytime you break. It will continue to get faster and smoother.
