Moves

Break dancing takes a lot of dedication and practice. It is meant to be respected and studied almost as a martial art. While training, you will experience a lot of pain, fatigue, and frustration. Never give up and I gaurantee that you will eventually amaze yourself at what you have learned.

Starting out:

First, you need to find some music that you can get down to. You need to use the music to inspire you. Find a secluded spot to practice(hardwood floors, linoleum, or even cardboard are good surfaces). It also helps to practice with friends. You need some sneakers and clothes that will slip well. Before you start, watch some videos with dancers, or if you can, watch some actual breakdancers. The following links describe basic bboy moves. Learn these well before attempting power moves. You should also try to learn them in the order listed below. Some dancers may be great at power moves like windmills or flares, but if they can't back it up with these basic styles, then they are not real b boys.
